Volunteers working on Lahaina’s banyan tree have reported that roughly 60% of the tree is showing healthy green growth. However, some parts of the tree are dead and will need to be pruned. Fortunately, sensors have been installed to help arborists identify the areas that require attention. Additionally, the ulu trees are also displaying new leaf growth.
